Bardo Cards

Bardo Cards

Bardo Cards was my Capstone project for the AAS Communication Design program at Parsons and consists of a deck of 36 cards designed to encourage and facilitate meditation on one's own inevitable mortality. Divided into three color- and symbol-coded categories (Life, Death, and Afterlife), each card hosts a full-bleed image and a fill-in-the-blank prompt ranging from the pragmatic and mundane to the spiritual. The entire project makes use of Applied Design’s Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface to maximize accessibility and ease of use.
